190 tonnes high-pressure box passes the port of Vienna

Prangl GmbH is a part of it: high-pressure box of ACE company starts its trip to Russia on a special vessel in the port of Vienna

The Freudenau transhipment centre in the port of Vienna, a company of Wien Holding, has seen a spectacular heavy cargo transhipment today. A more than 50 metres long, more than 5 metres wide high-pressure box weighing about 190 tonnes will be loaded in two parts from the quay walls to a special vessel, starting its trip to a Russian industrial facility.

This unique heavy cargo transhipment is carried out by the port of Vienna in cooperation with the Prangl transport company and the manufacturer ACE, and takes about one hour. On a press conference the managing directors of the involved companies – Mag. Fritz Lehr and Mag.a Karin Zipperer (Hafen Wien), Mag. Christian Prangl (Prangl GesmbH) and DI Markus Fuchsbichler (ACE) – reported on the manufacturing, the complex transport, preparations in the port of Vienna and the transhipment which had been planned down to the smallest detail.
