AKW appoints new joint MD

AKW Global Logistics has appointed Rebecca Davies as joint managing director. Davies previously had the role of group warehousing director within the company.

“The group is an entirely different shape and make up from the one I joined 18 years ago,” said Julian Richards, joint managing director. “Rebecca is a very welcome support to me joining forces at the helm to drive performance and enable the next level of development for the group over the forthcoming years.”

Davies said: “I am thoroughly committed to the challenge ahead and recognise the board decision as a consistent theme of forward thinking and future planning. A pro-active and progressive approach to succession planning has always been critical to the stability of service to our customers and employment of our people, which in essence are the AKW Global Logistics fundamental priorities”.
