Amber Rail appoints Peter Schöberl Managing Director

With Peter Schöberl as a new member of the Management Board, Amber Rail wants to develop and market new products on the North-South corridor

On 5 November 2014 the „Amber Rail A.S.“ joint venture has appointed a new manager. Peter Schöberl (42) is going to execute his duties as operational member of the Management Board.

The new Amber Rail-manager contributes long experience in the rail forwarding business to the company, as he spent 16 years working for the forwarding companies Raabersped and Express-Interfracht which belong to the RCA Group. He had been working as an executive director being concerned with market segments such as: building supplies, chemical goods and mineral oils, automotive and consumer goods. Lately he has been managing the system trains (The Balkans, Italy and CIS).

His objective is developing new products (together with GySEV Cargo) and offering them to customers. Most of all, Amber Rail will focus on the North-South transport axis (Poland-Slovenia/Italy) but also transports from and to Romania (beyond Romania as well) will be included in new systems of whole trains transports.

Amber Rail started its operation in 2014 on the European freight forwarding market. The company – registered in Bratislava (Slovakia) – operates block train services primarily on the North-South railway freight corridor as subsidiary of Gysev Cargo Zrt. and Spedition Trade Trans Holding a.s..
