Berger Logistik plans to expand by company acquisition

Berger Logistik has filed a merger project with the Austrian branch of Kerry Logistics at the national competition authority

Berger Logistik GmbH from in Tyrol is preparing to expand. The company was planning to take over Kerry Logistics GmbH based at the Vienna Airport in Schwechat and one more location at the Graz airport in the course of an asset deal. They had filed for the merger project at the national competition authority recently, reports the newspaper Tiroler Tageszeitung.

Kerry Logistics GmbH is the Austrian branch of Kerry Logistics Group from Hong Kong. It was established in 2006 and has today about 20 employees. In the 2013 financial year Kerry Logistics with about 17,000 employees worldwide generated turnover of almost USD 2.3 billion. The enterprise operates branches around the globe, with geographic focuses in Asia and ‘Greater China‘. Access to these networks was giving Berger Logistik new opportunities in intercontinental business.
