C.H. Robinson: New offices in Prague and Bucharest

C.H. Robinson continues to build upon its commitment to serve customers in Europe by recently opening transportation offices in Prague, Czech Republic, and Bucharest, Romania. These new locations add to the company’s growing footprint in the region.

C.H. Robinson named Petra Vlckova as the Prague branch manager who is responsible for leading the office’s growth. She joins C.H. Robinson from ESA Logistics and GTL Logistics, where she gained experience in full truckload, less than truckload, and project cargo transportation.

Petra Vlckova believes that having an office in Prague is crucial to developing C.H. Robinson’s overall road transportation services on the continent. “Many of our existing Czech customers export or import on the Czech-Benelux and West German corridors,” she says. “I’m excited to join the C.H. Robinson team, leveraging transportation equipment and building relationships with local and regional carriers as we support our current and new customers.”

In the new Bucharest office, Catalin Buretea was named as C.H. Robinson’s branch manager. He has nearly 20 years of experience in the industry and previously held a variety of sales management positions at Codognotto and Euro Freight GmbH. Prior to that he held commercial roles at Samsung Electronics CEE, and Orange Romania.

“The stable Romanian economy, makes it very attractive for foreign investors to open their business doors in this country, especially in Bucharest where over fifty percent of headquarters of all industries present in the Romanian market, are located,” says Catalin Buretea. “Romania has a lot of highly educated people, with a lot of experience, who I believe, will also add to C.H. Robinson’s competitiveness in the European marketplace.”

“We see Prague and Bucharest as key strategic growth areas,” says Jeroen Eijsink, President, C.H. Robinson Europe. “Economic activity is increasing in these regions, and both Czech Republic and Romania are two of the fastest growing markets in Eastern Europe. The stable economic climate is especially generating considerable growth in the transport sector.”

The opening of the Prague and Bucharest offices, are the third and second recent transportation branch openings for C.H. Robinson in Eastern Europe, following the opening of Bratislava, Slovakia, in 2016.

Jeroen Eijsink adds: “We strongly believe that our investment in Eastern Europe will enable us to provide the best quality, service and reach for our customers, and will enable us to further strengthen our position in the European transportation market.”
