Christmas trees now come comfortably by DPD parcel
DPD Austria launches home delivery of Christmas trees in collaboration with the online platform Christbaumexpress.at
Christmas trees from domestic production can now be ordered via the online platform by a mouse-click. DPD Austria uses custom-made, neutral cartons for shipping. Thus, the trees remain protected during transport and ensure a smooth Christmas Eve.
The innovative service was created by the three students Rainer Neuwirth, Thomas Poscher and Michael Schruef, operating the online marketplace myProduct.at since 2009. „In addition to the origin especially the freshness of the products plays a key role for us. Therefore, we rely on a delivery partner with high quality of service, that we have found in DPD,“ says Rainer Neuwirth, one of the founders of myProduct.at and Christbaumexpress.at. The Nordmann firs are delivered by the Waldviertel Christmas tree grower Raith directly to the customers.
DPD Austria (Direct Parcel Distribution), Austria’s leading private parcel service based in Leopoldsdorf near Vienna, employs approximately 1,500 people and has a transport fleet of 900 vehicles, which carried approximately 38.5 million packages last year, generating turnover of EUR 160.7 million.
