DB Schenker Austria moves into environmentally friendly logistics facility in St. Pölten

DB Schenker Logistics triples its surface in Lower Austria and creates capacity for about 100 jobs

Effective 3 August 2015 the St. Pölten branch of DB Schenker Logistics Austria will move into the new, environmentally friendly logistics facility at the address Gottfried Schenker-Platz 1 in 3151 St. Georgen. The facility is situated on a 34,000 m² total area. The investment totals EUR 11 million.

According to the company the new location allows meeting the customers’ requirements and guaranteeing a high degree of environmental protection and optimising CO2 emissions. The location offers 5,000 m² logistics area with high rack and block storage, equalling about 6,500 pallet slots, and a 2,000 m² area for cross docking and throughput services. In addition the new site has its own connection to the railway, which allows environmentally friendly rail transport of the goods.
