DPD on track with £12m Bristol distribution centre

DPD’s £12 million distribution centre in South Gloucestershire is on track to open later this year, according to developer Stoford.

The steel frame and roof have been completed at the 68,792 sq ft unit at Vertex Park, Emersons Green on the outskirts of Bristol.

Louise Ferguson, of DPD, said: “Vertex Park is part of a major infrastructure investment programme for DPD in 2017. Our rapid growth in recent years means that up and down the country we are expanding our operation. Purpose-built distribution centres such as this give us a huge advantage over our competitors.

“It will be a state-of-the-art facility, in a great location, with room for us to continue growing. I’m really pleased with the progress to date and plans are already well advanced for our team to get on site and start preparing for the first parcels later this year.”
