Former Palletline chief joins Pall-Ex

Kevin Buchanan, who stepped down as managing director of Palletline in August, is joining Pall-Ex as group managing director.

Adrian Russell will move from group MD to a new role on the Pall-Ex board as deputy chairman.

Buchanan was managing director at Palletline for more than seven years. A spokesperson for Palletline said at the time that he had decided to leave to pursue new opportunities outside the business. He takes up his new role at Pall-Ex on 24th November.

: “Kevin and I have been in discussion for some time about how he might help with the on-going development of the business,” said Pall-Ex founder and CEO Hilary Devey. “It was Kevin’s track record and passion for quality and growth that convinced me that he has a pivotal role to play in the future success of the business.

“No business can stand still and be successful. We have to look to the future to ensure we are well equipped and positioned for the challenges that lay ahead. Further growth of both the UK network and our European structure is planned with talks in both Benelux and Bulgaria already well underway.”

Buchanan said: “Being offered the chance to lead the Pall-Ex Group and work alongside Hilary is one of those offers that you just can’t turn down. The plans we have to develop the organisation for the future are very exciting and will see us achieve increased profitability and security for our network members.

Chris Tancock has been promoted from his existing role as sales director to deputy group managing director as part of the strategy for the development of the European networks.
