FSDF welcomes back Johnstone as president

The Food Storage & Distribution Federation has appointed Malcolm Johnstone, managing director of food logistics specialist ACS&T, as its president.

It is Johnstone’s second term as president of the FSDF, which celebrated its centenary in 2011.

Johnstone has more than 40 years’ logistics experience and has been managing director of ACS&T for the last 8 years.

Johnstone, who is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, said: “It is a great privilege and an honour to become president of the UK’s leading food logistics industry bodies. Our role at the FSDF is to look after the needs of our membership and to engage in key lobbying for the benefit of our industry. The success of which can be noted by being the management body of the climate change agreement for the sector.”

Chris Sturman, chief executive of FSDF, added: “We’re pleased to welcome back such an experienced professional as Malcolm to the role of president. He is well known in the industry for his huge passion and drive, and his commitment to setting high standards of excellence in food storage and distribution.”
