Construction has started and the facility is scheduled to complete in September 2017.

“Gardman is expanding to meet growing demand for gardening and wild bird care products, so we are relocating our operations from King’s Lynn to Prologis Apex Park,” said Peter Utting, chief executive of Gardman. “Daventry is an ideal location for a national distribution network, so we are pleased to have secured this new building.”

The distribution centre has been designed to achieve a minimum BREEAM ‘very good’ accreditation and the best EPC rating possible for its size.

Lambert Smith Hampton, Burbage Realty and JLL acted for Prologis. Gardman was represented by shb.
