Gebrüder Weiss: Gold for customer magazine ATLAS

ATLAS, the customer magazine of Gebrüder Weiss, was awarded with the prestigious media award „Best of Corporate Publishing“.

The GW customer magazine ATLAS received the award in the prestigious BCP Best of Corporate Publishing 2014 competition as the best corporate publication in the category B2B Commerce/Transport/Logistics.

Throughout the past couple of weeks, it was no secret that ATLAS had been placed on the BCP shortlist and that a silver award was therefore assured. And then at the BCP Congress in Munich, the well-kept secret about the winner was finally revealed with the announcement: Gold for ATLAS! This means that GW was able to win one of the 47 first prizes from over 700 entries submitted.

In its category, Gebrüder Weiss was able to assert itself against distinguished competition such as Franz Haniel, Kröswang, Lufthansa Cargo and Nestlé Germany. Frank Haas, Head of Marketing Services and Communications, and Rainer Groothuis, Groothuis Agency, accepted the award at the big BCP Corporate Publishers‘ Night on 3 July at the Alte Kongresshalle (Old Congress Hall) in Munich. “With the ATLAS, we want to tell exciting stories about the world in motion and spark the readers’ excitement for logistics. For this, we are able to rely and fall back on the experiences of 6,000 employees worldwide”, says Frank Haas within the course of the event. “The BCP in Gold is a remarkable honour for the ATLAS team and everyone involved.”

“From Istanbul to Newfoundland to Hong Kong – crossing the Alps with Goethe and passing through the Amazonas – the “Pioneers” edition of the ATLAS takes the reader on an exciting journey around the globe – the best business card possible for a globally active logistics company”, says Dr. Andreas Siefke, President of the Forum Corporate Publishing, when reflecting on the jury’s reasoning.
