Gebrüder Weiss offers new services for high-tech industry

Gebrüder Weiss has focused its logistics experience in the high-tech industry to develop new services specially designed for technology businesses. The portfolio of services offered covers the classic areas of distribution and procurement logistics, special security concepts in the areas of transport and storage, and technical distribution, including the installation of large electronic devices such as digital printers, MRI equipment, or cash machines.

With its industry-level focus, the international transport and logistics company brings a focus on the entire supply chain of the business. “The high-tech industry has the highest demands for security and transparency, which we have oriented our spectrum of services towards,” said Jürgen Bauer, Director and Regional Manager East at Gebrüder Weiss. For the service expansion, Gebrüder Weiss has established its own competence centre under the leadership of Alexander Horak, which will specifically analyse the high-tech industry’s demands.

In 2015, Gebrüder Weiss transported around one million shipments worldwide for customers from the technology sector – by land and sea transport, as well as by air. The transport and logistics group counts some major groups from the consumer and information technology industry among its customers. In total, 13 Gebrüder Weiss locations in Europe have been specially certified to meet the demands of the industry.
