Geis adds new impetus to parcel logistics in the Czech Republic

Holding in e-shoppartner provides customers of the Geis group access to a parcel delivery network with more than 420 stations in the Czech Republic

The service offering of the Geis group in Central Europe has a new, expanded form. By the end of June the logistics provider, operating Geis Parcel CZ – one of the leading parcel networks in the Czech Republic, took over 50 per cent of the shares from e-shoppartner. Hence Geis gives its customers access to the largest private parcel delivery network in the Czech Republic. The parcel stations will be renamed to Geis Points.

The Czech company Geis Parcel CZ will operate the Geis Points together with Mediaprint & Kapa Pressegrosso spol. s r.o., a leading press distributor in the Czech Republic, and previous sole owner of e-shoppartner. In total more than 420 stations are available in the Czech Republic, to be found at kiosks, fuel stations or small shops.

Private recipients can use the Geis Points as alternative delivery points: If you can’t take over the ordered goods at home, the shipment can be directly sent to a selected station, where it can be picked up within 14 days during opening hours.

“We are happy to provide customers in the Czech Republic with more service through the Geis Points“, says Daniel Knaisl, managing director, Geis Parcel CZ s.r.o. “We want to expand the existing, strong network together with Mediaprint & Kapa Pressegrosso in the future. Our target is 1,000 stations.“

Also customers of e-shoppartner – mainly online shops – profit from this cooperation. In addition to parcel services, they can benefit from the entire service range of the Geis group, ranging from national and international land transport to global air and sea freight and complex contract logistics. Daniel Knaisl: „We can take over the entire supply chain including warehousing for online shops on demand.“
