GLS extends its international FlexDeliveryService

The GLS parcel company has expanded its international FlexDeliveryService to a total of twelve countries. This means online shoppers will be informed about the planned parcel delivery and will be able to decide where and when to receive their goods – regardless of the country in which they ordered.

The Benelux region, Germany, Austria, Poland and the GLS region Europe East, which includes Hungary, Slovakia, Slovenia, the Czech Republic, Croatia and Romania, are now linked to all directions. “The growth in cross-border online commerce is driving the demand for international services,” said Rico Back, CEO of the GLS Group. “By expanding our offer, we open up new growth opportunities to senders and give consumers access to new products.”

Linking twelve countries to form a continuous area is another milestone on the way to establish a pan-European FlexDeliveryService. The connection between Denmark and France is already progressing: GLS is also delivering flexibly to these countries when shipping from Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg, Austria or Poland. At the national level, FlexDeliveryService is available in all 14 countries.

The international FlexDeliveryService makes it easier for online shoppers to receive goods when buying abroad. If you customers from across national borders in these linked countries, they can choose from numerous delivery options in their home country. Parcel delivery on a desired day or to a GLS PaketShop rank among the most popular options. Depending on the regional offer, the parcel company also delivers during the evening hours, dispatches the consignment at an agreed secure location, or at a GLS parcel dispenser in Europe East.
