Great Bear appoints new CEO

Great Bear Distribution has appointed Alastair Isbister as its new CEO.

Alastair Isbister - Great Bear CEOIsbister is joining the company from DHL, where he has worked for 16 years and was most recently vice president, business development & account management responsible for consumer, Tradeteam, Ireland, and the engineering & manufacturing sectors. He was worked with 3PLs for nearly 30 years.

Isbister will begin his role as CEO this month.

“Growing the Great Bear business and continuing to always provide fantastic service to our customers is my goal,” said Isbister. “I am really looking forward to helping to take Great Bear Distribution to the next level. It is an exciting opportunity at a really interesting time in UK logistics.”

Thomas van Mourik, Culina Group CEO, said: “I am really looking forward to working with Alastair to take our Great Bear business forward.
