Habau opens its new logistics headquarters in Perg

New state-of-the-art object thanks to EUR 2.1 million investments

Following the opening of Europe’s most modern plant for prefabricated concrete parts in June 2014, Habau has made another investment into the group’s future. After a construction period of 13 months the new logistics headquarters for the supply of construction sites was inaugurated at an event for employees, partners, authorities and residents on 2 October.

On a total surface of 4,254 m² the existing building was given a modern surrounding by establishing a new building. The new logistics headquarters is the administrative basis for construction sites of the Habau group within the country and abroad, but also a ‚hotspot’ for repairs, warehousing, picking and provision of construction material and machines. The new building is an investment into our future, to guarantee the supply of the construction projects of Habau and its subsidiaries within a contemporary environment. Moreover, this is a clear commitment to the region and the site”, says Anton Karner, Managing Director. “The location in Perg is now state-of-the-art and well-positioned thanks to investments into the production of prefabricated parts, construction site logistics and maintenance of machines, as well as a capacity adjustment.”

Gerhard Wohlmuth, Head of the mechanical engineering segment, explained further construction details: “The warehouse consists of a precast construction of our own production, the office is brick masonry. The heating system operates via the company’s district heating network. In addition, a photovoltaic system, the so-called ‘smart flower POP’ is integrated. The modules convert this solar energy highly efficient into electricity but also store them in sufficient capacity. ”
