Hödlmayr group forms subsidiary in Georgia

New company of the Hödlmayr group in Georgia’s capital Tbilisi to start operating in May

The Hödlmayr group is just about to enter the market in Georgia. “Our new location in Tbilisi is to start opertation in Mai 2014“, CEO Johannes Hödlmayr announces in an interview with the Austrian transport magazine Österreichische Verkehrszeitung.

Initially the new site and a fleet meeting the demand will provide services in the segment of new cars transportation in the Caucasus region. So far this economic area had been served from the Hödlmayr site in Turkey, with currently 74 employees.

Georgia increases the network of areas covered by Hödlmayr’s own subsidiaries to 16 countries. Established in 1954 the family enterprise based in Schwertberg, Upper Austria, has generated a turnover of EUR 200 million with about 1,500 employees last year. With 600 vehicle carriers and ten block train systems they carried 1.3 million new cars across Europe. In its function as releasing agent the company was in charge of quality control of 860,000 new cars at six automobile plants.
