IDI Gazeley to expand Magna Park in Leicestershire

Reports have been revealed that the original Magna Park in Leicestershire is to be expanded on the back of increased demand for more warehousing space in the region.

IDI Gazeley which manages the park is preparing a 500 acre expansion to the north of site which could see the creation of up to 6,000 jobs.

In a separate proposal developer Barwood has confirmed to the local press that it is going for a 200 acre expansion of the Magna Park site to the south which could create up to 4,200 jobs.

Depending on the amount of developable land and occupation densities the two sites together could provide upwards of 10 million sq ft of warehousing space.
