IRISL and CMA CGM signed cooperation document

The two shipping lines are ready for a collaboration in the field container transportation and port activities

The Chairman of the Board and CEO of Islamic Republic Shipping Lines ( IRISL) described the details of MOU between IRISL and CMA CGM from France in an interview with Mana news agency: “According to this MOU which was signed between me and Jaques R. Saadé, the respected chairman of the board and CEO of CMA CGM group, the two companies are ready to have wide cooperation in exchanging slots (for containers) among ships and active lines, to make mutual services in various international routes, to exchange containers in the spots which provide mutual interests and to cooperate in terminal and port activities in the worldwide.”

Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines (IRISL) was established in 1967 and commenced its commercial operation by employing two home trade vessels and 4 larger ocean going vessels. Presently, the company is 21st in the international ranking and it can be ranked less than 15th, taking advantage of the capabilities and resume its place in Middle East, Far East Asia and Europe as well.
