LSH markets UK Mail’s old hub

Lambert Smith Hampton is marketing UK Mail’s 208,186 sq ft hub in Birmingham on a short term lease.

UK Mail is moving to a new site near Coventry following the government’s decision to route the new high speed rail link through Express House at Wolseley Drive in the Heartlands area of Birmingham. As a result, the building is due to be knocked down in two years’ time.

Comprising a purpose built industrial headquarters, Express House extends to approximately 208,186 sq ft with an eaves height of 10 metres, 124 loading doors on a total site area of around 17. Matthew Tilt, associate director of industrial agency at LSH in Birmingham, said: “It is well known that there is a shortage of good quality industrial properties right across the region so we are anticipating a lot of interest in this particular unit. There is nothing else like it on the market where a short-term flexible lease is being openly encouraged.”

The property is situated between Junctions 5 and 6 of the M6 motorway and within 3.5 miles of Birmingham city centre.
