DB Schenker Logistics appoints new Managing Director in the UK

DB Schenker Logistics has announced the appointment of Helgi Ingolfsson as its new UK Managing Director with immediate effect.

Replacing Jochen Muller who has moved back to Germany to a position within Schenker Deutschland AG, Ingolfsson joins Schenker Limited from the group's Swedish operation.

Ingolfsson was most recently DB Schenker Logistics' Director of Air and Ocean Freight for Scandinavia and has experience of all aspects of the freight and logistics business.

"This is an exciting opportunity to join the UK organisation at a pivotal point in its development. It has a really stable foundation on which we can now build upon and I am looking forward to the challenge," said Helgi Ingolfsson.

"Our move to the new premises at Heathrow later this year will mark a major milestone in the company's UK history and allow us to focus on the growth of all market segments particularly in land freight and contract logistics while in air and ocean we will be concentrating on the vertical markets which my new team are so good at specialising in" added Ingolfsson.
