Asotra forwarding installs bridge head in Poland

Asotra Polska organises logistics chains focussing on the railway as transport mode since the start of this year

Establishing a subsidiary in Poland Asotra Spedition GmbH, headquartered in Stockerau near Vienna, consolidates its position as a specialised provider of transport and logistics services on traffic routes with Eastern Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States.

The new branch in Katowice, Silesia started operating at the beginning of this year. The company organises rail cargo transportations from, to and via Poland on behalf of customers from the steel and chemicals industry.

Asotra Spedition GmbH is a company of the Terminal Holding since autumn 2011. In addition to operations in rail cargo transport the enterprise operates a strong truck division, including elaborate pharmaceuticals logistic services to destinations in Eastern Europe, Russia, Byelorussia, Ukraine and Central Asia. As for 2012 Ernst Haiböck, Managing Director, targets a turnover increase to EUR 25 million.
