Air France to serve the "direttissima" Vienna-Toulouse

LogEastics 2012-02-16

Nonstop-flight from Vienna to Southern France consolidates the partnership of the Vienna Airport and Air France/KLM

The French airline Air France is to add a total of 14 new destinations to its route network, effective 1 April 2012. In addition to Vienna, the summer flight schedule will include direct flights from Toulouse to Casablanca, Marrakech, Istanbul, Prague, Hamburg, Berlin, Venice, Naples, Athens, Seville, Malaga, Tunis and Malta.

The Vienna Airport, connected to Air France through a partnership for 50 years, is to receive four weekly connections to the French aviation centre in the Midi-Pyrénées region. Flight days for direct links to the city in Southern France are Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The foundation stone for the expansion of the route network from spring 2012 is the previously successful addition of new destinations and capacities approached from Marseille in October 2011. The new short and medium haul destinations will be operated with Airbus A 319 and Airbus A 320 aircraft, offering 142 and 178 seats, respectively. “Thanks to the new flight Air France will offer 67 weekly flights from Austria to France from 1 April“, says Guido Hackl, Director Air France and KLM in Austria.
