More frequencies with UN RAIL Austria Shuttle semi trailer train

UN RAIL Austria shuttle on the direction between Trieste and Wels doubles its frequency to six round trip trains as of 15 September

The UN RAIL Austria Shuttle semi trailer train which runs between Trieste – Wels and became operational on 26 November 2013 with three round trip trains per week increases to six round trip trains as of 15 September 2014.

According to the new schedule there will be a daily train departure from Trieste except Saturdays and a daily train departure from Wels except on Sundays. Trains will arrive to Trieste and Wels before noon time so vehicles arriving to Trieste can be loaded to the vessels on the same day.

UN RAIL is a system which allows carrying new generation (P400 / C400) semi trailers as well as standard semi trailers and all types of containers (45 HC, tank containers, swapbodies). For this reason UN RAIL allows customers to use the trains with its existing non cranable semi trailers and containers without making an additional investment.

One of the advantages of UN RAIL Austria Shuttle trains is the free of charge Austria transit permit to be given to all trucks which will haul semi trailers going to Wels using ISU trains. Loading and discharging within Austria can be done with Austrian plated trucks only. All vehicles carried with UN RAIL and have reservation to the vessels have the priority to be loaded on the vessels at export and import.
