Morrisons group logistics director steps down

Morrisons group logistics director Neal Austin is to step down from the management board and leave the company along with a number of other senior executives including: group customer marketing & digital director Nick Collard, group retail director Martyn Fletcher, group property and strategy director Gordon Mowat, and convenience managing director Nigel Robertson.

David Potts, who became chief executive of Morrisons in February, said: “I will now be constructing a leaner management board, with the aim of simplifying and speeding up the business. I would like to thank Nick, Martyn, Neil, Nigel and Gordon for their service to Morrisons.”

The company said Ross Eggleton and Miles Foster would continue to lead Logistics and the M local chain respectively. Andy Atkinson and Clare Grainger have been appointed to Interim Marketing and Retail Director respectively.

* Last month Morrisons appointed Mark Harrison to the role of group supply chain and projects director, moving from his previous position of group manufacturing director.
