NIKI to fly daily from Vienna to Abu Dhabi as of 24 November

First long-distance flight within the Fly NIKI route network is a milestone in the strategic partnership with Etihad Airways (Abu Dhabi)

On 24 November 2014 NIKI starts its first nonstop long-distance flight from Vienna to Abu Dhabi. The basis therefore is a recent code sharing agreement of authorities in Austria and the United Arab Emirates. The new flights will be operated by an Airbus A320 aircraft.

The planned code share program with Etihad Airways will initially cover NIKI’s daily nonstop flights from Vienna to Abu Dhabi. More than 20 further connections from Abu Dhabi shall expand the service to Australia, Asia and the Golf region successively.

„Launching the new connection to Abu Dhabi, the first time with a NIKI Business Class, represents an important milestone in our company’s history. Due to the code-share agreement with Etihad Airways, we offer our guests attractive new destinations in the future,“ says NIKI CEO Mag. Christian Lesjak.

JamesHogan, Etihad Airways‘ President and Chief Executive Officer, said: “Etihad Airways is delighted to add its EY code to the new daily NIKI service connecting Vienna and Abu Dhabi. This is the first connection between these two metropolises.“
