Palletline adds five new members

Boughey Distribution, Laser Transport International, Express Freight Services, East West Transport and H&R Gray have joined the Palletline network since the start of the year, and Palletline chief Graham Leitch is keen to speak to potential member companies.

Three existing members, DW Clark & Sons, Castledene Transport and Doccombe Global Logistics, have invested in the network to become full shareholder members. In addition to the new arrivals, a sixth haulier is expected to take-up Palletline operations in April.

Palletline managing director Graham Leitch said: “The stronger the network grows the more scope we have to collaborate and improve services for members and customers. With 72 quality members we now have our greatest ever UK-wide capability and what we think is the best coverage of Scotland among the pallet networks, so this is a fantastic start to the year and a key staging post in our plans for the network.”

Palletline can now call on more than 6,000 staff and 12,000 vehicles, and access to over five million square feet of warehousing space.

Darren Clark, general manager at DW Clark & Sons, said: “Having worked with Palletline since August, our business has been nothing short of transformed – everything works extremely smoothly, we have full visibility of goods through the intuitive IT systems and every element of the service is excellent.

Leitch said: “Moving forwards we are keen to speak to potential member companies about the support we offer which can help them win business, reduce costs and boost profits.”
