Pantos Logistics to open 20,000 m² logistics facility in Rotterdam

New warehousing facility at Maasvlakte in the Dutch seaport of Rotterdam marks another milestone in the development of Pantos Logistics in Europe

Pantos Logistics is taking the next step to expand its warehousing logistics in Europe. Therefore the South Korean transport and logistics provider has just recently acquired a 20,000 m² warehouse on a 34,300 m² premises in the port of Rotterdam (Maasvlakte). The company plans to operate a warehouse, thereby expanding its warehouse logistics and distribution business in the European market.

Pantos Logistics has by its own account great competence in the field of warehousing and distribution logistics. This know-how shall be demonstrated by operating distribution centres for electronic components and for car parts in Europe, reads a press release.

The enterprise globally operates 90 logistics centres today, eleven of them in Europe, and has local networks in major European countries, such as the Netherlands, Germany, France, the UK, Spain, Poland and in Turkey.

Pantos Logistics was formed in 1977 and is today the largest Korean Logistics organisation employing over 2,000 people. The Network comprises 80 offices covering 30 countries generating annual turnover of USD 2 billion.

Freight Management is a core capability of the business, in 2008 Pantos handled over 1.3 million TEU’s by Ocean and over 100,000 Tones by Air.
