Total handling volumes in the Romania seaport of Constanta amounted to 55,6 million tons in 2014

The Romanian seaport Constanta registered a decrease in Austria transit in 2014 of a little more than 2 million tons. Most of the volumes were accounted for by imports, says Alexandru Capatu, port representative in Austria on the “10th Constanza Port Day” in Stift Göttweig. More than 200 guests were invited to the event.

Total handling at the largest Romanian seaport amounted to 55,6 million tons in 2014 which equals a slight decrease compared to last year’s figures. Container handling improved from 668.200 TEU. 4.771 seagoing vessels and 10.053 barges used the quays for handling purposed.
