Ryder appoints Allen Vice President of Engineering

Gary Allen has been appointed vice president of engineering at Ryder. He will report to John Williford,president of global supply chain solutions.

He is responsible for overseeing the supply chain engineering team, including quality, program management, and engineering, to support business development and existing operations for the overall SCS organisation.

Allen has more than 24 years of experience in supply chain services. He joins Ryder from Ernst & Young LLP, where he led the company’s logistics consulting practice. Prior to Ernst & Young, he spent seven years with Exel where he had various leadership roles in product development, solution design, operational excellence, sustainability, and partner innovation.

He helped launch and co-author the “Annual Third Party Logistics Study” with Dr John Langley from Pennsylvania State University.
