Seko opens hybrid logistics site

Seko Logistics is to open a “hybrid” logistics centre in Milton Keynes where all of it services for customers are intrinsically linked.

Chicago-based Seko opened a 250,000 sq ft site in Milton Keynes in 2014. Its fulfilment services in Milton Keynes will be supported by a team of air, ocean and road freight specialists to serve customers across the Midlands, headed by directors, Paul Balsom and Mark Ronaldson.

Balsom said: “Unlike traditional freight forwarders, Seko identified some years ago that our ‘hybrid’ model of fulfilment linked to transport is the future. We’ve developed our own technology and logistics capabilities so we can support our customers with visibility of all transport statuses upstream from the vendor, and downstream to final delivery to customers.”
