Sky, DHL and Teleplan open new DC

Sky Deutschland, DHL and Teleplan have opened a new 146,000 sq ft European distribution centre in Panattoni Park Cheb, Czech Republic.

Following the opening, DHL supply chain will start a new five-year contract with Sky to manage its standard storage services, inbound and distribution.

Teleplan will handle the reverse logistics and customer service side of the contract, as well as value added services including: packaging, labelling, and correspondence with customers.

“The convenient location on the Czech-German border will make distribution significantly faster. Items outbound in the evening have to be at their destination the next morning. For picking up urgent orders, in some cases we have at most one hour,” said Filip Budík, managing director, DHL Supply Chain Czech Republic and Hungary.
