Strengthened financial base after management buy-out at Vos Logistics

European logistic service provider Vos Group reports a strong improvement in results in 2014 and added 120 new trucks to the fleet

European logistics service provider Vos Logistics reports slightly higher turnover and a strong improvement in profitability for 2014. According to the just published integrated financial and sustainability report for 2014 turnover grew by 1.5 per cent to EUR 252.2 million. EBIT increased from EUR 3.3 million to EUR 6.1 million. Net profit came to EUR 1.1 million in comparison with a loss of EUR 0.8 million in 2013.

Vos Logistics invested more than EUR 15 million to strengthen the company in 2014. 120 new trucks were added to the fleet, including three LNG trucks, and 275 new loading units. The company also invested in new telematics and innovations in the ICT infrastructure. A new sustainable distribution center was taken into service in Oss with a warehouse capacity of 25,000 m2. A substantial investment – more than 25,000 hours – was also made in staff training.

The financial base was strengthened after management buy-out (solvency 24%) at the end of 2014 and forms a solid platform for the further implementation of the company’s growth strategy. For 2015, Vos Logistics expects a further increase in turnover and profit, particularly from logistics services and customer-specific transport solutions.
