Strongly rising demand for 24 hours Truck Service of DKV

DKV Euro Service, service provider for the logistics and transport industry, managed about 300,000 service requests in 38 European countries in 2013

In 2013 there has been a strong use of the services provided by the service partner of the DKV 24h Truck Service in 38 European countries. The central emergency break-down number 00800 365 24 365 received about 300,000 service calls. This is an increase by more than 10,000 requests compared to the previous year. “We have simplified the proceding in the case of a break-down and expanded the service network“, says Manfred Detela, head of the vehicle service unit at DKV Euro Service. “This means customers can receive competent help within 30 minutes“.

As soon as the emergency central receives a call, multilingual employees coordinate the further steps from the DKV Service Center. 95 per cent of the break-downs can be repaired on the spot. The main causes are tyre damages and electronic defects. If an immediate repair is not possible, DKV Truck Service organises a replacement vehicle. „What is important is the intensive exchange with our service partners,“ explains Manfred Detela. „Only this allows for the settlement for our clients and partners in high quality“.

The DKV Euro Service has been a leading service provider for the logistics and transport industry for 80 years. From the cashless supply en route to 54,000 multi-brand points of acceptance for toll collection and the VAT refund, DKV offers many services for cost optimisation and fleet control on European roads.

DKV is part of the Mobility Services Group with 700 employees, generating sales of EUR 5.5 billion in 2013 and represented in 42 countries. Last year, around 2 million DKV cards were used by more than 100,000 customers.
