TMT keeps strong increasing rail volumes during January
Trieste Marine terminal container volumes in January 2017 record +25.5 per cent compared to the same period of 2016. Following the growing trend already registered in 2016, the number of full containers shows +35 per cent.
The intermodal traffic moved during January has increased by 56.2 per cent compared to the same period of last year. International traffic keeps increasing the figures with Germany, Austria, Hungary, Czech Republic and Slovakia playing a major role.
Trieste still confirms itself as the only port in the Adriatic with a wide and modern rail infrastructure ready to serve additional intermodal volumes.
