TNT UK brings in Jakobsen to head international
Tony Jakobsen has been appointed managing director for TNT UK and Ireland’s international business with immediate effect.
Jakobsen has worked for TNT for 27 years, and has held roles including business development director, domestics and managing director, and managing director for Italy.
“I’m delighted to be joining the UK international business at such a key time,” said Jakobsen. “A number of significant investments have been made over the last six months such as the guaranteed pre 12:00 delivery service to all zip codes in Germany, a daily, scheduled road service to Istanbul and the introduction of first call resolution within the customer services environment.”
His appointment follows Marianne Culver’s appointment at TNT UK’s managing director. Culver was appointed in February, after Alistair Cochrane stepped down from the role last November.
