Ubimax opens new Office in Atlanta, U.S.

The first Ubimax office outside of Europe ensures fast response times and short travel dis-tances for the growing customer and business partner base in North and Central America

Ubimax, leading supplier for industrial Wearable Computing solutions, announced the opening of its new office in Atlanta (Georgia), one of the primary logistics hubs of the United States. With the first office outside of Europe, the Wearable Computing experts from Germany are establishing a strategically important hub for the growing customer base in North and Central America. The new office in the southeast of US is located close to numerous ongoing customer projects and existing business partners.

Bremen – February, 09th 2016: Ubimax responds to its fast growing customer base in North and Central American markets and opens its first office in the United States. The new and fully operational office enables Ubimax to provide faster response times and shorter travel distances to its customers and business partners in North and Central America. The office is currently being equipped with a Wearable Computing showroom to display Ubimax’s enterprise wearable computing suite which includes its solutions xPick (logistics), xMake (manufacturing), xInspect (inspec-tion) and xAssist (remote support) in a realistic set-up.

Outside of its office building, Ubimax is surrounded by long-standing partners and customers. With Atlanta being one of the primary logistics hubs of the United States, various existing and potential customers are based in the area and are running warehouses for which the xPick solution is a perfect fit. At some of its projects, Ubimax provides the solution and Georgia Tech of Atlanta conducts scientific research on resulting benefits. Prof. Thad E. Starner, one of the pioneers of wearable computing and also senior advisor of Ubimax, is one of Georgia Tech’s professors.

Right next to its new US office, the Ubimax solutions will soon be on display at the Enterprise Wearable Technology Summit East (EWTS) powered by BrainXchange. After successfully sponsoring EWTS 2015 in Houston, Ubimax will once again be one of the principal partners and sponsors of the summit. The event is one of the world’s key events in the field of industrial Wearable Computing technology and takes place on June 16th and 17th 2016 at the W Hotel in Atlanta.

“I am very happy to announce the opening of our first non-European office in Atlanta!” states Dr. Hendrik Witt, CEO of Ubimax, who completed his PhD thesis in the area of wearable computing at Georgia Tech with Prof. Thad E. Starner as his supervisor. “We have selected Atlanta as the best location for our first US based office with many existing customers, partners, research institutes and events all based in this region. This marks a major milestone in our anticipated strong growth in the attractive North and Central American markets.”

The new Ubimax office in Atlanta is the first location of European’s leading Wearable Computing experts outside of Europe and the fourth office in total. Besides its headquarters in Bremen, Ubimax has further offices in Munich and Frankfurt Airport.
