Amazon to start charging for grocery deliveries
People buying goods over £120 through Amazon Fresh will begin paying a delivery fee starting in February.
An Amazon spokesperson said: “We’re introducing a service fee on some Amazon Fresh delivery orders to help keep prices low in our online and physical grocery stores as we better cover grocery delivery costs and continue to enable offering a consistent, fast, and high-quality delivery experience.”
According to a statement sent out to customers, the online retail giant will be upping fees to orders so that it could keep its prices ‘low and competitive’.
According to Charged, orders which are between £80 and £120 will require a delivery fee of £3.20, whereas for orders between £40 and £80, customers will need to pay £5.61. Orders under £40 will cost customers a fee of £8.
