DB Cargo: first modular logistics systems by Innofreight
On the 6th August 2018 DB Cargo and Innofreight signed their first contract for the leasing of InnoWaggons for slab transports. This type of wagon has been successfully used by ÄŒD Cargo since 2016 for the transport of steel semi-finished products and has a payload of up to 146t per double wagon.
Innofreight’s VTG partner will provide the InnoWaggons for this business. This is the beginning of an intensive cooperation. With modular wagons and container systems, Innofreight becomes an important partner of DB Cargo in the modernisation of its freight wagon fleet.
At the InnoTrans in Berlin (18th – 21st September 2018) DB Cargo, VTG and Innofreight will present further innovative products – the new 2x30ft InnoWagon for coil transport and the 2x45ft wagon for timber transport.
