DB Schenker secures Dublin shed
3PL DB Schenker has pre-let Mountpark Logistics’ 133,806ft2 warehouse unit at its 1.2 million ft2 Mountpark Baldonnell scheme in Dublin.
The building, which logistics giant DB Schenker will use to service one of its major global clients, has been designed to meet the company’s specific operational requirements and construction is due to complete in May 2022.
Ray Hennessy, CEO DB Schenker UK & Ireland said: “This is one of three new facilities DB Schenker will open in Ireland during 2022, extending our overall capacity beyond 800,000ft2 across 14 sites in Dublin, Cork and Shannon, with over 700 employees.”
At the end of 2021, Mountpark received planning permission for the final phase of Mountpark Baldonnell, totalling 169,263ft2. The two new units, Unit F (72,625ft2) and Unit G (96,638ft2) can both be delivered by the end of 2022.
The Mountpark Baldonnell development is located at Clonlara Road, which is accessed from Barneys Lane on the N7 Naas Road – Ireland’s premier logistics corridor – between Casement Aerodrome and the N7/Baldonnell Business Park, conveniently located for access to the M50, Outer Ring Road, N81 and N4.
