EV manufacturer Vinfast partners with INFORM to improve supply chain visibility

Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer Vinfast has entered into a strategic partnership with INFORM, a global AI-based optimisation solutions provider, to better monitor the status of Vinfast vehicles from production to delivery.

INFORM has said that it will ‘provide advanced vehicle logistics management software solutions to VinFast, including Transport Management Software (TMS) and a vehicle Yard Management System (YMS)’. It expects that these solutions will improve transparency and optimise processes including orders, deliveries, and recalls.

The software will first be implemented in the United States, Canada, and Vietnam, to be followed shortly after by Europe. It is expected that INFORM’s solutions will be in place across Vinfast’s entire global network within 18-24 months.

Le Thi Thu Thuy, Vice Chairwoman of Vingroup and VinFast, explained that the company “is currently in the process of mass production and delivery to global customers”. She added: “INFORM’s expertise is the key to VinFast’s logistics, offering end-to-end solutions from when the vehicles are exported from Vietnam to when they are delivered to the customers. INFORM’s technologies will help VinFast achieve faster, more efficient, and sustainable vehicle deliveries”.

INFORM’s Chief Operating Officer Justin Newell shared this enthusiasm for the partnership as he believes that Vinfast’s goals align with INFORM’s, including those relating to sustainability. He claimed: “INFORM’s ability to deliver solutions across the entire vehicle supply chain from the factory out gate to customer handover is a key deliverable for our VinFast project.”
