Final piece of development jigsaw for EMDC

A planning application for a 342,000ft2 warehouse on the final plot of Clowes Developments’ 200-acre East Midlands Distribution Centre has been submitted to the local council.

EMDC 342 will be delivered for the summer of 2023 and will complete the redevelopment of the former Castle Donington Power Station. It will have 29 dock and four level access doors as well as a 15m eaves height.

Clowes has a variety of units under construction and due for completion in July/August including EMDC 190 (190,000ft2) and EMDC 280 (280,000ft2).

EMDC190 will benefit from a 15m haunch warehouse with 18 loading bays, over 10,000ft2 of office space over two floors and associated welfare facilities for staff while EMDC280 will also have 15m eaves with 26 loading bays, 17,000ft2 of office allocation which again will be dispersed over two floors. Both properties will have their own secure compound and parking spaces including electric charging points.
