Gazeley to build two new speculative warehouses in Biggleswade

Gazeley has started construction on two new speculative logistics warehouses at its G-Park Biggleswade site in Bedfordshire.

The two warehouses, of 85,000 sq ft and 61,000 sq ft, will be constructed in parallel with a 152,000 sq ft built-to-suit warehouse at the park and will be practically complete and available from January 2020.

Each warehouse is developed to a BREAAM Very Good certification and is designed to meet the evolving needs of Gazeley’s logistics, distribution and ecommerce customers in the UK. In addition to this best-in-class specification, the development will benefit from Biggleswade’s strong labour pool and excellent transport links to central London, just 43 miles away.

G-Park Biggleswade forms part of Stratton Business Park, which is home to a number of leading businesses from the packaging, distribution, food and manufacturing sectors as well as a retail complex including M&S, Laura Ashley, Boots, River Island, and Halfords.

Following the completion of these developments, G-Park Biggleswade will comprise of five units, which Gazeley have built, including a 97,500 sq ft build-to-suit distribution centre leased to Dublin-based Zeus Packaging and a 106,000 sq ft speculatively developed warehouse which is currently available for lease.
