GLP plans new warehouse at Magna Park South

Detailed plans for a 355,455ft2 warehouse on the second phase of investor developer GLP’s Magna Park South scheme in Leicestershire, East Midlands look set to be approved following planning officer recommendation.

GLP is seeking reserved matters approval for a single unit in Zone A/B at the 500-acre Magna Park site near Lutterworth.

Harborough Council’s planning committee will review the plans next week.

The facility will see a 256,384ft2 warehouse with 12,561ft2 of two storey offices and a 5,000ft2 hub office built on an 11 acre plot. IT will have an eaves height of 18m and boast 26 dock and two level access doors. There will be parking for 190 cars and 85 HGVs.

GLP speculatively built  out phase one of the scheme last year and all four units totalling 1.25 million ft2 are now let. It announced that it would develop a further 1 million ft2  on the Magna Park North site in April last year. This is now under construction.

Joint agents are DTRE and Burbage Realty.
