Goodman to develop logistics centre for Zalando
Goodman Group will develop a 78,000 sq m logistics centre for ecommerce retailer Zalando at Erfurt’s freight terminal. The development is pre-let on a 16 year lease term. Construction will commence in mid October and delivery is scheduled for August 2012.
The warehouse will offer 71,000 sq m of floor space with 7,000 sq m of associated office and social space. 55 truck and trailer spaces have been planned. The new facility will incorporate 46 loading docks, with expansion space available for additional docks to cater for future demand.
The development will accommodate the significant growth in Zalando’s business and facilitate the distribution of their products throughout Germany and Europe.
