Handheld introduces wearable RS60 Ring Scanner to increase logistics efficiency

Manufacturer of rugged mobile computers, Handheld Group today announced its RS60 Ring Scanner, a hands-free scanning product that can be used in warehouses, general supply chain, and retail.

The device has the efficiency of a traditional scanner, while benefiting from being a hands-free wearable, and features a 2D-imager which accurately captures barcodes.

The scanner is also dust and water resistant, and can operate from 0°C to 50°C, with up to 11 hours of runtime.

Johan Hed, Handheld Director of Product Management said: “The scanner is all about efficiency and mobility. It can be worn on either the right or left hand so workers can maximise productivity while keeping their hands free.”

Thomas Löfblad, CEO, Handheld Group said: “Enterprises have increasingly seen the value of equipping their workers with tools to maximise efficiency and mobility. Our new wearable line is designed to fit those needs.

“Handheld has always been about mobile computing, and we’ll be expanding our wearable product line further in the future.”
