An application has been submitted for two warehouse units totalling 150,000ft2 on the site of the A41 Mecure Hotel in Watford by investor First Urban and Borehamwood developer Griggs Homes. The site was acquired by Griggs and First Urban in November 2020 as a 16.5 acre regeneration project.
The new plans will take advantage of its transport links to the A41 and M1 motorway, as well as bringing the site into more effective use.
If the scheme is approved, the developers have said they hope to complete the project by 2024.
