Intereuropa Group achieved net profit for the first time after 2008
Beside the optimization of business processes Intereuropa Group (Koper/Slovenia) will acquire new business in fiscal year 2014
Intereuropa Group is ‘back in black’. Regarding to the unaudited business report for the year 2013, the sales revenue achieved on the Group level was EUR 161.1 million, which exceeded the plan for the reporting year by 3 percent. The Operating profit came to EUR 5.3 million; EBITDA at EUR 13.8 million was 8 percent higher than in 2012. For the first time after 2008, Intereuropa Group closed the financial year with a net profit, this time with EUR 2.2 million.
The operations of Intereuropa in the reporting year were marked by the accession of Croatia to the European Union and by the outcome of the disposal of Chekhov logistics centre a year before. The Group was able to decrease its financial liabilities by well over EUR 7 million, compared with a year ago.
The Group’s focus in the year 2014 will be dedicated to intensified marketing activities and acquisition of new business in the increasingly tough and competitive market of logistics. The focus will be laid on the optimisation of business processes and the rise in the quality of service, as well as further development of the integrated information solution to support the logistics processes for the core business. Upon achievement of the ambitious plan, also in the area of disinvestment, the company will continue on the path of financial stability and fulfilment of all liabilities to banks.
