JCL Logistics gains 18 new locations in Asia through acquisition

Austrian JCL Logistics Group acquires majority stake in Chinese-Korean logistics company ACE GLS Inc.

As announced by CEO Stephan Jöbstl, the JCL Logistics Group (Graz) entered an Asian sea and air freight forwarding company in 2012. As of 31 December 2012 the Austrian company bought a 51 per cent stake in the Chinese-Korean logistics service provider ACE GLS Inc..

Through this acquisition JCL Logistics’ network in Asia (Singapore, Hong Kong, Vietnam and Indonesia) grows by 18 locations in China and South Korea. Another important criterion of this transaction is the reception of the A-licence, which plays an important role for forwarding operations in China.

JCL Logistics, with headquarters in Graz, Austria, has over 60 branches and 1,900 employees operating in 25 countries. Operational activities cover transport and product logistics as well as e-commerce. Specialising in the sectors health, chemical, retail, automotive and industry JCL Logistics has an annual turnover of EUR 520 million. JCL Logistics takes charge of the customers’ products along the entire supply chain.
